Ingredients
- Boneless skinless chicken thighs – I like to use boneless skinless chicken thighs but you can always use bone-in chicken thighs instead. And don’t forget to save the bones to make bone broth or chicken stock! If you use bone-in chicken thighs it will take longer to cook
- Bacon – I used normal bacon but you can use uncured bacon, thick cut bacon or even thin bacon.
- Seasoning – I kept it easy and only used kosher salt and black pepper

To ensure that the chicken stays moist is to check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Once they reach 165F, remove them from the air fryer.
If you use thick cut bacon, it may take longer to make the bacon crispy. You may need to reduce the cooking temperature as to not overcook the chicken thighs.
Tools needed to make Bacon Wrapped Chicken Thighs in the Air Fryer
- Cosori Air Fryer – this is my favorite air fryer. The large air fryer basket makes it so easy to cook your favorite recipes
- Tongs – tongs are easiest to remove and flip the chicken drumsticks
- Meat thermometer – You always want to make sure the internal temperature of ANY chicken 165F.
How to make Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Chicken Thighs
- Season your chicken thighs with the salt and black pepper.
- Place the chicken in the middle of the bacon and wrap the bacon around the chicken. Using a toothpick secure the bacon ends on the backside of the chicken thighs. The toothpick ensures the bacon doesn’t fall off.
- Transfer the chicken to the air fryer basket and cook at 350F for 10 minutes. flipping halfway through.
- Flip the chicken over and cook at 400F for another 10 minutes flipping halfway through. (this ensures the bacon gets crispy)
- Remove from the air fryer basket serve and enjoy
Recipe Notes:
If you’re using thick cut bacon, stretch the bacon to make it thinner. If it’s not possible you may need to reduce the cooking temperate. This is so that the bacon and chicken thighs both get cooked completely without the chicken drying out.






Oven Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400 F.
- Add grease a baking pan with avocado oil.
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
- Wrapping each thigh in bacon and secure the bacon with a toothpick.
- Next place the chicken thighs into the baking pan I na single layer and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken thighs reach an internal temperature of 165 F.
- If you want the bacon nice and crispy, you can broil them for 1 minute.
Substitutions
If you don’t have boneless skinless chicken thighs, you can use bone-in chicken thighs instead. You will just have to add a few more minutes to the cooking time.
For the bacon, you can use a thin or uncured bacon. You can even use turkey bacon if you don’t eat pork.

What to serve with Bacon Wrapped Chicken Thighs
These bacon wrapped chicken thighs are great by themselves for a snack or a carnivore meal. Or you can serve them with a side salad or with some Air Fryer Broccolini if you want to keep it low carb.
If you’re craving comfort foods, serve them with a delicious mac and cheese or some loaded French fries.
How to store
Store leftovers in an airtight glass container for up to 5 days.

Remove the lid from the container and microwave on high for 1 to 1.5 minutes or until chicken is warm. Alternatively you can transfer to a microwave save plate to warm up.
If you want to warm this up in your air fryer, cook it for 2-3 minutes at 400F.
