- Boneless skinless chicken thighs – I like to use boneless skinless chicken thighs but you can always use bone-in chicken thighs instead. And don’t forget to save the bones to make bone broth or chicken stock!
- Homemade Teriyaki Sauce– This teriyaki sauce is perfect for any chicken recipe. You can even make a large batch and store the extras in the refrigerator.

To ensure that the chicken stays moist is to check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Once they reach 165F, remove them from the air fryer. Don’t overcook.

How to make Air Fryer Teriyaki Chicken Thighs
- In a medium mixing bowl place your chicken thighs. Add in your teriyaki sauce and mix together.
- Transfer the coated chicken thighs to the air fryer basket. Make sure the chicken thighs don’t over lap each other.
- Cook the chicken thighs at 390F for 18 minutes. Flipping halfway through. Or until the internal temperature is 165F.
- Remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer basket and serve with your favorite kind of rice.
Oven Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- In a medium mixing bowl add your chicken thighs and teriyaki sauce. Mix them together.
- Transfer the chicken thighs to a baking pan and place inside the oven.
- Cook the chicken thighs for 20 minutes.
- Once timer goes off remove the chicken from the oven.
- Serve with your favorite rice!
Substitutions
If you don’t have boneless skinless chicken thighs, you can use bone-in chicken thighs instead. You will just have to add a few more minutes to the cooking time.
