My Air Fryer has made cooking dinner so easy! With your air fryer, you won’t have to worry about dry chicken! This Air Fryer Chicken Breast and Potatoes were so good, I even tried it with Chicken Thighs and Potatoes. Boy, they didn’t disappoint.
Every time I’ve made chicken, whether it’s breasts, thighs, or wings, they always come out super juicy in the air fryer! The air fryer is magical and a must-need if you want quick and easy dinners!

With only seven ingredients and 30 minutes later, you’ll have a delicious dinner! You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how easy this recipe is to make!
- Russet potatoes
- Skinless boneless chicken breast
- Avocado oil
- Seasonings: kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder
- Parmesan cheese
✳️ Tips & Tricks
Make sure you do a single layer so the potatoes and chicken breast cook evenly. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature is 165F so it doesn’t get overcooked.
Remove the chicken from Air Fryer while the potatoes cook with the parmesan cheese. This will enough the chicken doesn’t get tough or overcooked.

- Tongs – tongs are easiest to remove and flip the chicken
- Meat thermometer – You always want to ensure the internal temperature of ANY chicken is 165F.
How to make Chicken Breast and Potatoes in the Air Fryer
- Cut the potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the potatoes and chicken breast. Pour in the avocado oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix all around till the chicken breast and potatoes are coated.
- Transfer the chicken breast to the Air Fryer basket laying it on one side.
- Next, place potatoes in the Air Fryer basket laying them on a single layer on the other side of the Air Fryer basket.
- Cook the chicken breast and potatoes at 390F for 18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the chicken and potatoes are cooking, mix your garlic powder and parmesan cheese.
- Once the timer goes off, remove the chicken breast from the Air Fryer basket.
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and garlic powder on top of the potatoes.
- Cook for another 3 minutes at 390F.
- Remove for Air Fryer basket and serve.
Oven Directions
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Cut the potatoes into cubes.
- In a large bowl, add the potatoes and chicken breast. Top with seasonings and oil, mix well.
- Transfer to a lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken breast internal temperature reaches 165F.
- Remove and serve.
Substitutions
- If you do not have grated parmesan cheese, you can substitute it with shredded parmesan cheese. You can also substitute fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder.
- You may use boneless skinless chicken thighs or chicken cutlets if you do not have chicken breasts.
- This recipe was made with simple ingredients, but you can also add more seasonings if you’d like. Possibly onion powder, Italian seasoning, chili powder, or your favorite seasonings blend.
- If you don’t want to make potato wedges, use baby potatoes and cut them in half.

This air fryer chicken recipe makes for easy meals throughout the week! To reheat, remove the lid from the container and microwave on high for 1 to 1.5 minutes or until the chicken is warm. Alternatively, you can transfer to a microwave save plate to reheat.
To warm this up in your air fryer, cook for 2-3 minutes at 400F.

Instructions

- Cook the chicken breast and potatoes at 390F for 18 minutes flipping halfway through.
- While the chicken and potatoes are cooking mix together your garlic powder and parmesan cheese.
- Once the timer goes off remove the chicken breast from the Air Fryer basket. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and garlic powder on top of the potatoes.
- Cook for another 3 minutes at 390F.
- Remove for Air Fryer basket and serve.
