This was my first time going, and I was star-struck. They had so many different things. I think I almost walked out with the entire store! Their freezer section never disappoints; Trader Joe’s Orange Chicken, Trader Joe’s BBQ Teriyaki Chicken, Trader Joe’s Chicken Quesadilla, and Trader Joe’s Mini Chicken Wontons. These are just some of my favorites from the freezer section.

Even with frozen chicken, you must ensure the internal temperature is 165F.
Make sure you do a single layer so everything cooks evenly.
Tools to make this Trader Joe’s Kung Pao Chicken in the Air Fryer
- Cosori Air Fryer – this is my favorite air fryer. The large air fryer basket makes it so easy to cook your favorite recipes.
- Tongs – tongs are easiest to remove and flip the chicken
- Meat thermometer – You always want to ensure the internal temperature of ANY chicken is 165F.
How to make Air Fryer Trader Joe’s Kung Pao Chicken
- Open the bag and take out all the ingredients. The bag will have the chicken, vegetables, and peanuts all separate, and then two sauce packets separate as well.
- Transfer the chicken to the Air Fryer basket. Cook at 390F for 11 minutes.
- Once the timer goes off, remove the basket from the Air Fryer. Add in the vegetables and mix them around. Cook at 390F for another 7 minutes.
- Once the timer goes off, remove the basket from the Air Fryer and add one packet of sauce and the peanuts. Mix and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove the Kung Pao Chicken from the Air Fryer basket with a spatula and transfer it to serving plates.
- Top with sesame seeds and additional peanuts if desired.






Oven Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Place the sauce packet under warm water to thaw it out.
- Open the chicken and vegetables and spread them out over a baking sheet. Cook for 17-19 minutes.
- Open the sauce packet and pour it on the chicken and vegetables. Mix well.
- Place the baking sheet back in the oven and cook for 3 minutes.
- Top with peanuts and sesame seeds.

What to serve with Kung Pao Chicken
Serve over white rice or Egg Noodles.

Store leftovers in an airtight glass container for up to 5 days.
♨️ How to reheat
Remove the lid from the container and microwave on high for 1 to 1.5 minutes or until the chicken is warm. Alternatively, you can transfer to a microwave save plate to reheat.
To warm this up in your air fryer, cook it for 2-3 minutes at 400F.

Instructions
- Open the bag and take out all the ingredients.
- Transfer the chicken into the Air Fryer basket. Cook at 390F for 11 minutes.
