Air fryers have become a popular kitchen appliance for those who want to enjoy delicious and healthy meals without the extra calories from oil.

One of the many recipes that can be cooked in an air fryer is Trader Joe’s BBQ Teriyaki Chicken. This recipe is a perfect combination of tangy and sweet flavors that are sure to satisfy your taste buds.

Some of these items are frozen and some of them are refrigerated. If you don’t plan on using them immediately, you can aways store them in the freezer and thaw them when you are ready to cook them.

  • Meat thermometer – You always want to make sure the internal temperature of ANY chicken 165F.

How to make Air Fryer Trader Joe’s BBQ Teriyaki Chicken

  1. Remove the sauce from the bag and place the frozen chicken into the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook at 390F For 14 minutes flipping halfway through.
  3. While the chicken is cooking place, the sauce packets in warm water so they can defrost.
  4. Once the timer goes off remove the air fryer basket and add one packet of teriyaki sauce on top of the chicken. Toss the chicken around and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Once the timer goes off make sure the internal temperature is 165F. Serve with your favorite type of rice.

Stovetop Directions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp of avocado oil in a large non-stick pan.
  2. Add chicken and stir fry about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add sauce and stir until hot.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight glass container for up to 5 days.

Remove the lid from the container and microwave on high for 1 to 1.5 minutes or until chicken is warm. Alternatively you can transfer to a microwave save plate to warm up.

If you want to warm this up in your air fryer, cook it for 2-3 minutes at 400F.
