- Frozen Chicken Patties- I bought mine at Aldi’s. They can be bought at any local grocery store.
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese – I like to shred my cheese. I will just buy the block of cheese and.
- Pizza sauce or Marinara Sauce – Aldi’s is where I buy my sauce at. They are always super affordable.
✳️ Tips & Tricks
For the BEST melty cheese, shred a block of cheese! I find that the pre-shredded cheese doesn’t melt the best because of the anti-caking agents.
So take a block of mozzarella cheese and shred it with a cheese grater or put it in a small food processor for easy-to-shred cheese.
Tools to make this Chicken Parm With Chicken Patty in the Air Fryer
- Cosori Air Fryer – this is my favorite air fryer. The large air fryer basket makes it so easy to cook your favorite recipes.
- Tongs – tongs are easiest to remove and flip the chicken
- Meat thermometer – You always want to ensure the internal temperature of ANY chicken is 165F.
How to make Chicken Parm with a Chicken Patty
- Place frozen chicken patties into the Air Fryer basket.
- Cook at 390F for 8 minutes flipping halfway through.
- Once the timer goes off remove the basket from Air Fryer. Use a spoon (about a tablespoon) of pizza sauce and place it on the chicken patties.
- Then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce.
- Place back into the Air Fryer basket and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from Air Fryer and serve.
Oven Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Place the frozen chicken patties onto a cooking sheet.
- Cook the chicken patties for 17-20 minutes.
- Add pizza sauce and mozzarella and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Remove and serve.
Substitutions
If you don’t have a block cheese you can use already shredded cheese. And if you don’t have pizza sauce you can use marinara or spaghetti sauce.

Keep it traditional and serve it with Spaghetti or pasta with Alfredo sauce. Or you can eve turn this into a chicken parm sandwich!
